Qualifications Job Requirements & Qualifications: Development Projects Officer • Academic Qualification A university degree in development, project management, administration, economics, social sciences, or any related field. • General Objective of the Position The Development Projects Officer is responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring the development projects and programs carried out by the organization, ensuring the achievement of expected goals and results, adherence to approved plans, budgets, and procedures, and strengthening coordination with beneficiaries, partners, donors, and stakeholders. • Experience Not less than 2–3 years in project management or coordination within an NGO or development institution. • Skills ● Proficiency in Arabic and English. ● Ability to plan, evaluate, and make decisions under pressure. ● Time management and organization. ● Report writing skills. ● Problem‑solving skills. • Knowledge • Strong knowledge of quantity calculations and price analysis. • Knowledge of drafting engineering contracts. • Knowledge of preparing general and specific engineering specifications and contractual conditions. • Knowledge of procedural steps for tenders. • Knowledge of preparing periodic progress reports. Additional documents required for hiring will be requested after passing the technical interviews. Tasks and Responsibilities of the Development Projects Officer 1. Project Planning and Implementation • Contribute to preparing and designing development projects and programs according to the needs of targeted communities. • Prepare work plans and timelines and follow up on activity implementation. • Supervise project activities and ensure alignment with project objectives. • Coordinate with field teams to ensure activities proceed according to approved plans. • Follow up on beneficiary needs and ensure their participation in project implementation stages. 2. Monitoring and Evaluation • Monitor performance indicators and results to ensure project objectives are achieved. • Collect and analyze data related to project activities and outcomes. • Prepare periodic monitoring reports and submit recommendations for performance improvement. • Document achievements, challenges, and lessons learned. • Contribute to internal and external project evaluations. 3. Relationship and Partnership Management • Coordinate and communicate with government entities, local authorities, partners, and other organizations. • Build effective professional relationships with stakeholders. • Participate in meetings, workshops, and relevant events. • Follow up on commitments and coordinate with partners to ensure timely implementation of activities. 4. Reporting and Donor Relations • Prepare technical and periodic project reports according to organizational and donor requirements. • Contribute to preparing project proposals, work plans, and budgets. • Provide required data and information for donor reports. • Ensure proper documentation of project activities and results. 5. Administration and Compliance • Follow up on project budget implementation in coordination with the finance department. • Adhere to organizational and donor policies and procedures. • Identify risks and challenges that may affect project implementation and propose appropriate solutions. • Ensure protection, accountability, equality, and non‑discrimination principles in activity implementation. • Maintain confidentiality of beneficiary data and project information.
